Exodus 6:6 - "Therefore, say to the children of Israel: 'I am the Lord, and
I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will
rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched-out
arm and with great judgments."

Redemption: Part 5 - Jesus, The Passover Lamb

The most important link between the redemption of the Old Testament and
that of the New is not the associated words that were used, but the
connection between Christ Jesus as our Passover Lamb and the Passover that
set Israel free from slavery. Jesus was witnessed to be the Lamb that takes
away the sin of the world. He was also offered on the altar of Calvary on
Passover and gave up His life about the time of the slaying of the Passover
Lamb. Paul also referred to Him as our Passover Lamb. The strongest
statement of all is that we do not see atonement identified with the goat
of Yom Kippur, but with the Lamb of Passover.

There should be no mystery about salvation or confusion entangled with
semantics and debate over words. The full expression of our salvation was
dramatically depicted in Israel's deliverance form Egypt. God surely sent
another prophet like Moses that leads everyone who would follow after Him
to freedom from the tyranny of Satan. There is no more room for speculation
about salvation when it is so visibly displayed in Egypt. The notion of
salvation being something that is positional, or left to the future, has no
place in this event that foreshadowed what Christ Jesus would do.

Thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory through Jesus! (1 Corinthians
