Romans 8:6 - For carnal thinking is death, but spiritual thinking is life
and peace.

Part 1 ~ Minding The Spiritual

Anything taught to us by God concerning Himself - the realm of Heaven and
the ways of the Spirit - is spiritual. All the Holy Spirit does and
ministers is spiritual. The things of the spiritual are foolishness to the
natural mind, because spiritual things are not governed by natural laws.
Instead, that which is spiritual is the unlimited realm of divine ability
and supernatural provision where nothing is impossible (1 Corinthians

Paul commanded the Church to both seek and focus on the spiritual
(Ephesians 1:3; 1 Corinthians 2:14, 14:1,12; Galatians 6:6). God is a
Spirit, and we must interact with Him in the realm of the spiritual. Any
interaction with the Holy Spirit, or manifestation of the Holy Spirit, is
by definition spiritual. Knowing we are to walk in the Spirit and be led by
the Spirit is evidence enough of how God demands us to be spiritual in the
way we think and conduct ourselves - our behavior (2 Peter 1:3-11).

The Holy Spirit teaches us the spiritual, and gives us access to the realms
of the spiritual - from which all the gifts of the Spirit flow. We learn to
think according to the spiritual (or the manner in which God thinks) by the
Word of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The spiritual mind is the
mind of the Holy Spirit, the mind of Christ, the life governed by the
Spirit of God - where every thought is brought into captivity to the
obedience of Christ and the will of the Father (2 Corinthians 10:4; John
5:19,30). The abundant life we have been given is the life of the Spirit -
which is life, peace, joy, and righteousness!
