Romans 8:30-39 – Now whom He predestined, those also He called; and whom He called, those also He showed to be righteous now; whom He showed to be righteous, those He also glorified. Therefore, what do we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us? He Who spared not His Own Son, but handed Him over for all our sake; how shall He not also together with Him give us everything freely? Who shall lay a charge against God’s elect which God made righteous? Who shall make a judgment? Christ died – and more raised up; Who also is on the right side of God, Who also intercedes for us. What shall separate us from the love of Christ – tribulation, or difficulty, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or a dagger? As it is written: that because of You, we are put to death the whole day, considered as sheep for slaughter. But in all these, we are more than conquerors through the One Who loves us. For we are persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angel, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers; Neither heights, nor depths nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Christ Jesus is the Author and Finisher (Leader and Perfecter) of our salvation, and He is committed to our perfection. God is both willing and doing of His Own good pleasure in us, and He will keep us by His Own power if we are willing to walk with Him (Philippians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:5; Ephesians 1:5-6; 2 Corinthians 2:14, 9:8). Who could possibly be left out of the plan and purposes of God if they are only willing; for truly the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are at work on our behalf.
