Lamentations 3:22-23 – The steadfast love of Yahoah never ceases, for His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning: great is Your faithfulness.
Can you see God not as a condemning God, but as a merciful and forgiving God – One Whose mercies never come to an end, simply because His consistent and eternal love never comes to an end? The glory of Israel had been stripped from off of her because of the stubbornness of Israel. The Almighty begged and pleaded with the nation to turn from their sins, but they would receive no reproof at all. They had allowed themselves to be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin, and they were unwilling to hear the voice of God and repent. Yet, even in such a terrible state of judgment, God remained willing to forgive them and heal them – if they would only turn to Him and be willing to learn obedience and faithfulness.
How much more will we discover the continual love of God extended towards those whose hearts are tender towards Him! The Lord’s mercies will be new each morning for us, so that we may confidently know that this is the first day of the rest of our life. With each morning, comes a new opportunity to begin a whole new life – to move forward in the discovery of all of the glorious things which have been made available to us in Christ Jesus.
The Holy Spirit wants to comfort and encourage us today that God is for us, and that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He wants us to be confident that the Lord will perfect everything that concerns us. The Lord desires that we take hold of the mercies of God made available to us through the blood of Jesus, and realize that if God be for us, no one can be against us. He wants us to accept what He has done for us; and no longer have a heart that condemns us and a conscience that defiles.
The Lord always stands ready to heal and to save. Jesus is always interceding for us, standing there with arms outstretched calling for us to come. He pursues us with His love no matter where we are. He stands at the door of our hearts knocking: pleading with us to open up so He can come in. He is always ready to heal and to save; only trust Him! Only look to the Author and Finisher (Leader and Perfecter) of your faith! See Jesus and be cured now!
