Daily Bread – March 31, 2023 (The Sixth Day – Genesis 1:24-31) Ephesians 2:10 – For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God ordained that we should walk in them. God’s Workmanship Is The New Creation In Christ Jesus Through His death, every claim of satanic dominion was broken (Hebrews 2:14; 2 Timothy 1:10). Through the miracle of the resurrection, God worked the miracle of a new creation with a new heart and a new spirit wherein only righteousness now dwells. The new creation is in Christ Jesus. Its life is from the Father, possessing His nature, holiness, and purity. The new creation is the workmanship of God – not shaped from dust, but from the blood of Jesus Christ. God breathed into us His abundant life by the Holy Spirit to enjoy and fulfill His purposes – to “be holy and without blemish before Him in love” (Ephesians 1:4, 4:24, 5:27; Luke 1:74-75; Romans 8:29; and Philippians 2:15; Colossians 1:22, 3:10; 2 Peter 3:13-14). Jesus has given us everything that He has – for we are in Him, and He is in us. Life does not exist outside of Him. He has freely given His nature and glory to anyone who would receive them. All that we are and all we will ever be is only obtainable by being in Him and His life being in us (John 17:22, 1:16). He sowed His life as a seed at Calvary, and the fruit of life sprang forth. Now, He is the Vine, and we are branches bearing the fruit of being one with Him – Christ in us our confidence of glory (John 12:24, 15:1-6; Colossians 1:27). Blessings Pastor Mark Spitsbergen
