Daily Bread – September 25, 2023 (The Second Day – Genesis 1:6-8) 2 Timothy 3:16 – All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness. The Word Of God Given In Scripture The Scripture refers to the writings of the Word of God both in the Old and the New Testament. The Greek word for scripture ‘graphe’ is translated from the Hebrew word ‘mechtav’ in Deuteronomy 10:4 and is equated to the word of Yahweh. The Scripture Paul is referring to here in Timothy is also equated to the Word of the New Testament in 2 Timothy 4:2. The Word of God reveals the will of God and describes the miracle God performed for us through redemption. If we are going to be changed, and then grow into all that God has given to us in Christ Jesus, then we must believe the things God has reported concerning ourselves. It is this Word that when preached produces salvation. It is this Word that when heard and acted upon brings forth faith that allows us to realize all of the miracles of God and the blessings He had provided for our lives.
