Pastor’s Welcome

Welcome to the Abiding Place Ministries website. My name is Mark Spitsbergen, and my wife is Anne. We have been the pastors of Abiding Place in San Diego since founding the ministry in 1985.

We have four children, and they, along with their spouses, all serve in the church: Joshua and his wife, Ali; Daniel and his wife, Summer; Elizabeth and her husband, Louie; and Ruth and her husband, Cade.

The primary purpose of our church is to be a place where the power and glory of God can be experienced. As a result, God is worshiped in Spirit and in Truth, and lives are transformed.
