Daily Bread – November 11, 2021 (The Fifth Day – Genesis 1:20-23) Jeremiah 33:9 – And it shall be to me a name of joy, as a song of praise, and for splendor before all the nations of the Earth that shall hear of all the goodness which I shall do for it. They shall be in awe and tremble because of all the prosperity and because of all the peace which I have made for it. Jeremiah once again prophesies concerning the results of the New Covenant God has now established (Jeremiah 31:33; Hebrews 8:10, 10:16). God has glorified us with His salvation and has purposed that all the nations of the Earth should see the beauty of this heavenly glory He has given to us (Isaiah 55:5; Psalms 149:4; John 17:21-23). All the nations are to see the glory of the Church which is clothed with the majesty and fullness of God (Ephesians 1:22-23; Isaiah 60:1; Matthew 5:14-16). The Church is to be that nation which God has given the Kingdom to and is to bring forth the fruits of it – and as a result, experience days of Heaven on Earth (Matthew 21:43; Deuteronomy 11:21). The splendor and the glory of God’s Presence is to be so revealed in the midst of our lives, and subsequently the Church, that even Israel would be provoked to jealousy (Romans 10:19-20). There are those such as the Orthodox and the ultra-Orthodox Jews who know something about the protocol of being in the Holies of Holies and the manifest glory of God. Their understanding is only derived from an intellectual perspective, but nonetheless is still somewhat accurate. At least their perspective is close enough to discern when the Church is walking around in the place of joy, praise, and splendor only found in the Holies of Holies (Hebrews 10:19). Today, each one of us is invited to step into this place where God dwells by the blood of Jesus. Right now and everyday, we can walk in the glory we have access to by the Spirit (Ephesians 2:6,18; Hebrews 12:22-24). Blessings, Pastor Mark Spitsbergen
