Email from Abiding Place     Daily Bread – November 20, 2024 (The Fourth Day – Genesis 1:14-19) Proverbs 10:22 – The blessings of Yehovah causes one to become rich and no sorrow is added with it. The Blessing Of The LORD The blessing of the Lord will impact your life in every way – spiritually, physically, material, and financially. God leads us in the way of His rich blessings, all we have to do is follow. The first blessing of the Lord is found in Genesis 1:22, 28 wherein God empowers everything on the Earth, and especially man, to be fruitful and to multiply. This blessing empowering a person to be fruitful and multiply is a recurring subject in the Bible (Genesis 8:17, 9:1,7, 17:20, 28:3-4, 35:11, 48:3-4; Leviticus 26:9; Deuteronomy 7:13, 30:16; Ezekiel 36:11,30; 2 Corinthians 9:10). When something is blessed it is made sacred and set apart for the service of God (Genesis 2:3). The blessing of the Lord produces greatness in deeds and in conduct (Genesis 12:2, 18:18). There is the commanded blessing of the Lord that even causes men like Ishmael to enter into greatness physically and materially (Genesis 17:20). There is a commanded blessing that comes upon the obedient people of God causing all of their labors to produce supernatural results (Leviticus 25:21). In fact, the blessings of the Lord are usually the result of obeying God which is repeated hundreds of times in both the Old and New Testament (Genesis 22:18; Deuteronomy 11:27, 14:29, 15:10, 28:2-8; Psalms 5:12, 15:1-5; Proverbs 8:32, 10:6; Ephesians 1:3; James 1:12).
