Email from Abiding Place Daily Bread – March 10, 2025 (The Second Day – Genesis 1:6-8) Philippians 1:9-11 – And this I pray: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and discernment, that you approve what is excellent, that you may be pure and blameless unto the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God. The Lord Jesus gave us His righteousness. He gave us the righteousness of God by imparting His life into us. He made us righteous and empowered us to live His life of righteousness. Because of His presence in our lives, we become like a garden in which God brings forth all the fruits of His life – the fruits of righteousness. These fruits of righteousness are by Jesus Christ to the glory of God (Philippians 1:11). God has given us the ability to live a heavenly life now on this Earth in an earthly body. He has adorned our bodies, which are His temples, with all the treasures and glory of the beauty of holiness. He has honored us with the highest of honors – to be clothed in His righteousness, to be taught in the ways of His majesty, and to be entrusted with the honor of representing His ways to the nations (Isaiah 61:10; Psalm 132:9). He has redeemed us and purified a people zealous of His heavenly life. It’s a life we now live in the Holy Spirit. His life is like a well spring, springing up with all that only He can supply. His life is like rivers which flow out with goodness and righteousness and truth (Ephesians 5:9-10). If we will only be willing, every day we will find ourselves going from strength to strength and from glory to glory. We will increase more and more as we increase with the increase of God. This is the life we will live throughout eternity in His presence. It’s a life of Heaven on Earth (Ephesians 1:3; Deuteronomy 11:21). Blessings, Pastor Mark Spitsbergen
