Email from Abiding Place Daily Bread – March 12, 2025 (The Fourth Day – Genesis 1:14-19) Romans 10:6 – But the righteousness that is of faith speaks like this: “Say not in your heart, ‘Who shall ascend into Heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down) The Righteousness of Faith Speaks Righteousness, which came to us by the faith of Jesus Christ, speaks and says, “Human effort cannot produce the incarnation (to bring Him down). Human effort and Law works cannot raise Him from the dead (to bring Him up)”. We do not have to cross the sea or search endlessly to discover it. It is too high and beyond the reach of all exploration and investigation of mankind. God by His Own power and in His great love brought to pass every dimension of salvation. God did not give Israel the Land of Promise because they were righteous (Deuteronomy 9:4). He did not give us His life and righteousness by any works of righteousness which we might have had (Titus 3:4-6). All that mankind could ever do would never attain to the righteousness of God. God simply said, “Call and I will answer”. We can even say He put His words in our mouth, so we might know how to call and how to answer. He has won our salvation by His Own right arm. The salvation He purchased for us keeps us by His Own power. He perfects everything concerning us and leads us in the way we should go. All we have to do is follow. Blessings, Pastor Mark Spitsbergen
