Daily Bread - April 22, 2026 (The Fourth Day - Genesis 1:14-19)
Philippians 2:13 - For it is God who works within you both to will and to work according to His own good pleasure.
For it is God Who works within you both to will and to work according to His own good pleasure. Because of this also, we give thanks to God continually that when you received the Word you heard from us, you received it, not as the word of men, but as it is in truth: the Word of God, which also works mightily in you who believe. To Whom I also labor, contending according to His working that operates in me by power. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God, strengthened with all power according to His glorious might unto all patience and endurance with joyfulness.
Now to Him Who has the power to do super-abundantly above all that we think or ask according to the power that works in us. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us. You are of God, little children, and have conquered them, because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace given to me has not been in vain. Rather I labored more abundantly than all of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that was with me. And what union has a temple of God with idols? You are a temple of the living God, accordingly as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be to me a people.” (Philippians 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Colossians 1:29; 2 Corinthians 3:5; Colossians 1:11; Ephesians 3:20; 2 Corinthians 4:7; 1 John 4:4; 1 Corinthians 15:10; 12:6; 2 Corinthians 6:16)
