Daily Bread – April 26, 2024 (The Sixth Day – Genesis 1:24-31) Galatians 2:20 – I am crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who lives, but Christ Who lives in me. And the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me. Each person must come to evaluate themselves, and prove if Christ is in them (2 Corinthians 13:5). If we live our own life, we will surely lose it, but if we are willing to receive the life God desires for us to live, then we will keep that life for all the ages to come throughout eternity (Matthew 16:24-25). People will say, “I’m only human,” and look for excuses and reasons to live their lives the way they choose, but every individual must come to realize he or she is called by God to live a new kind of life – we are called to live the life of Jesus! We must forsake the earthly and worldly view of ourselves (2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; Romans 13:11-14). We must no longer know ourselves after the flesh. Rather, we must know ourselves after that which is new and of the Spirit (2 Corinthians 5:16-17). We were bought with the price of the precious blood of Jesus, and we are not our own (1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We belong to the One Who purchased our salvation and raised us from the prison of spiritual death into His life (Acts 20:28; Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Peter 2:9-10). We are crucified with Christ. We are buried with Him by baptism into His death. We are raised up together with Him. We are alive together with Him. And we are seated together with Him in the Heavenlies now. And we will reign with Him as heirs and joint heirs of His Kingdom forever! (Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:3-11; Ephesians 2:5-8; Colossians 2:12, 3:1-4; 2 Timothy 2:11-12; Romans 8:14-18, 29-30) Blessings, Pastor Mark Spitsbergen
