Email from Abiding Place Daily Bread – April 3, 2025 (The Fifth Day – Genesis 1:20-23) John 6:56 – He who eats of My flesh and drinks of My blood dwells in Me, and I in him. Hid Away in Jesus We are to live and dwell in the Holy Spirit, Who leads us and guides us into all the ways of God. Our lives are now hidden away in Christ Jesus, and for us to live is Christ. As God hid Moses away in the cleft of the rock, even so, He hides our lives away in Jesus. Jesus said that the work which He did was by the Father, and now we have the same union. The work we do is by the work of Christ Jesus Who works in us (John 10:38, 15:5; Philippians 1:11; Colossians 1:29; 1 Corinthians 15:10; Hebrews 13:21). Christ Jesus is the power source for all God’s righteousness and His holiness working within our lives. We yield ourselves to Him as those alive from the dead. We yield ourselves as servants of righteousness, and He brings everything about our lives into perfect conformity to the will of the Father. (Romans 6:19-22). We bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ by the power of God (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). We keep ourselves in the keeping work of Christ Jesus (1 John 5:18; 1 Peter 1:5). We can now boldly say that as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:16-17). And we are able to overcome just as He overcame because He dwells in us (1 John 4:4; Revelation 3:21).
