Daily Bread – May 16, 2024 (The Fifth Day – Genesis 1:20-23) John 6:56 – He who eats of My flesh and drinks of My blood dwells in Me, and I in him. Living The Life of Jesus Believing on His Name takes on an entire new dimension when we recognize it is the same as believing how it is the living presence of Jesus that will act on our behalf. Thus, we do not wonder regarding the power we may have, or look to ourselves in any way for the faith to cast out devils – but we live in the living faith of Christ Jesus, Who dwells in us and we in Him. The faith of the New Covenant is Christ in us (Colossians 1:27; Galatians 2:20; John 17:21-23). To be convinced of Christ Jesus living in us is to be certain He not only has the power to do the work, but is also present to do it. Yet, the condition is simply to believe the Good News and accept the reality of how He dwells in us, and in response dwell in Him (John 15:4). What could speak louder of our need to recognize this divine opportunity and credit every part of all God does in our lives to Christ Jesus? Our continual consecration should resound with “its not me that does the work, but Christ Jesus Who is in me.” Only in this realm of relationship can the fruits of the faith be manifested through our lives (John 15:4-7) – the faith that both speaks and reveals, “the life that I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God.” The reality of this opportunity given to the believers must be highly valued above all other things and properly attended to everyday for the union to find its full revelation and expression through our lives. Through the acceptance of the gift of union with Christ Jesus and the accompanying word of faith that Father is in Christ Jesus, we are made perfect in one (John 17:23). Through not only receiving this union, but living it out as well, the world will know Who Jesus is! Blessings, Pastor Mark Spitsbergen
