Daily Bread 5/5/2022

Daily Bread – May 5, 2022 (The Fifth Day – Genesis 1:20-23) 1 Peter 1:5 – Who are kept in salvation by the power of God through faith, ready to be revealed in the last time. The phrase ‘eis soterian’ may be translated as “into salvation”, or “in salvation”. The Greek preposition ‘eis’ is commonly translated “in”, or “into” throughout the New Testament. Salvation is something that the born again child of God has already received as verse 9 clearly testifies to. As soon as a person calls on the Name of the Lord Jesus, they are saved (Acts 16:31, 2:38; John 1:12, 3:5). Father could have saved us with the strength of his own power absent of anything we do. However, Father chose to give us His creative faith, and has demanded that we participate with that faith through our own will. Blessings, Pastor Mark Spitsbergen
