Daily Bread - September 9, 2026 (The Fourth Day - Genesis 1:14-19)
Ephesians 4:3 - Giving diligence to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the bond of peace,
The Result of Unity is the Manifestation of Jesus
The oneness granted to us is first oneness with the Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ, and God the Father. Then as a result of oneness with God, we may have oneness with one another. In this divine disposition, the Church functions in such a way that Christ Jesus is revealed through the operation of the Holy Spirit in each member of the Body. We must allow the Holy Spirit to baptize us into the Body of Christ every time we assemble ourselves together (1 Corinthians 12:13). The Church is the fullness of God, but unless we participate with God, the glory of His fullness is never realized or witnessed (Ephesians 1:22-23).
The will of God is that the arresting power of His love be manifested in our fellowship with each other. His love will produce oneness, and by this onesness, all men will know we are His disciples and that Christ Jesus is Who He says He is (John 13:35, 17:23). The Kingdom of the Lord Jesus is witnessed by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). If the demonstration of the Kingdom of God is going to be manifested in our assemblies, then we must allow righteousness, peace, and joy to reign in all our emotions and conduct. The rivers of God’s Presence will flow through us to reveal the nature and disposition of Christ Jesus in all the splendor of His servitude and humility (1 John 3:16). The reign of peace will calm every storm, His joy will refresh and strengthen every soul, and the righteousness of all His goodness will produce days of Heaven in the midst of the Church (Deuteronomy 11:21; Romans 14:17; 1 Peter 2:9).
