Daily Bread – February 10, 2024 (The Seventh Day – Genesis 2:1-3) Psalms 40:3 – And He has put a new song of praise in my mouth unto our God. Many shall see it, and they shall fear and they shall trust in YHWH. The Lord has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light so we can show forth His praises! He has put a new song in our mouth – even praises unto our God (Isaiah 42:10; Psalms 98:1). He poured forth His Spirit so that we may now prophesy and declare His wondrous works. We may sing of the things that were not revealed to the sons of men. We should now declare His glory among the lost, and His marvelous works among all nations (1 Chronicles 16:24). The new song of joy is a celebration of singing and a disposition of joy. Thanksgiving and rejoicing is a love song that cannot be hidden. If there is anything that stands out in a world of darkness, it is the bright and joyful countenance of someone who is happy and thankful because they are in love. The opportunities to declare all the wonderful things the Lord has done flow like a river when the Lord is the delight of our hearts. The declaration of the good news cannot be made known with a sad and sorrowful countenance. Therefore, the Lord has provided us with a wellspring of joy. The rivers of His pleasure pour out of us as we are filled with the Spirit. Someone may say, “How can I be filled?” All you need to do is to begin to declare all the things the Lord has said. Begin to confess what great things the Lord has done, and as you do, the power of the Lord will come on you and the rivers of His life will begin to flow out. The Lord said we have to be endued with His power before we can be His witnesses. So, let that wonderful supply of the Spirit of God fill you up continually. Do not allow the cares of this life, the stress and the frustration, put out the light of His glory in your life. Rather, be filled and speak to yourself in songs of praise and hymns of grace and spiritual songs by the utterance of the Holy Ghost. Sing and give thanks unto the Lord and watch what God will do. Your enemies will be scattered and the forces that have held you back and shrouded your life will be gone. (Ephesians 5:20; Colossians 3:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; Hebrews 13:15) If we attempt to hang onto our lives in this world, then the world will swallow us up and the abundant life in Christ Jesus will be unseen (Hebrews 3:8-12; 1 Corinthians 10:10; Jude 16; Luke 8:14, 21:34). So let us decide today that we will no longer live for ourselves, but rather unto Him Who died and rose again. Let us embrace the life of the Kingdom of God and live for God. Let us deny a self-centered life and live the life of Christ Jesus. Let us take up our cross and vow only to live to the will of the Father. Embrace your Heavenly calling today, and arise and shine for your light has come! If we decide to no longer live for ourselves, but rather for the praises of God, a whole new realm of freedom and authority will open up before us. As you cooperate with God and begin to do those things He has called you out of darkness to do, then the revelation of His grace and an increase in His manifest presence will be yours!
