Email from Abiding Place Daily Bread – June 20, 2025 (The Sixth Day – Genesis 1:24-31) Deuteronomy 8:3 – And He humbled you, and caused you to hunger, and gave you manna to eat which you did not know, and your fathers did not know; so that He could make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word from the mouth of Yehovah. One of the most important things we must learn is that if we are going to prosper, then we are going to have to obey the Word of God (2 Chronicles 20:20; Joshua 1:8; Psalms 1:1-3). If we are going to benefit from all the promises God has made to us, then we must be willing to hold tightly to the Word of God and not allow it to slip (Hebrews 2:1, 10:23; Romans 4:20; 2 Corinthians 1:20; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Luke 8:4-15). We must not stagger or waver concerning the promises of God, but continue to recite the Word of God and declare those things which He has proclaimed to be true! There are so many circumstances and influences attempting to change our opinion and confession. Yet, as the people of God, we must recognize what God has said is true (Romans 3:4; John 17:17). All we have to do is to believe and stand firm in His promises (John 6:63; Hebrews 1:3, 4:12, 11:3,6). If we will speak the same thing and mind the same thing God has declared, then we will walk through any storm into the blessing as we walk in agreement with God’s Word (Amos 3:3; Isaiah 43:2; Mark 4:39-40). Satan would come to change our mind, but no matter how pressing the situation, we must remember and confess: “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of Yehovah.” (Matthew 4:1-4; Luke 4:1-4). If you are in a financial problem, you must have a confession in agreement with the promises and blessings of God. If you are in a physical distress, then you must have a confession in agreement with the promises and blessings of God. Whatever is in your heart will be declared from your mouth, and eventually, whatever is in your mouth will be what is in your heart (Proverbs 4:23; Deuteronomy 30:14; Luke 6:45; Romans 10:8). God’s inspired Word should be our inspiration! His life giving words heal the sick and bring new life to those who once were bound by sin. His Word is the power that framed the Heavens, and His Word will bring a miracle to you (Hebrews 11:3; John 1:14; Psalms 107:20; Matthew 8:8,16, 13:23; 1 Peter 1:23). If you will believe, if you will hold fast to the Word of God and not let it depart out of your mouth but recite it day and night, then you will have the results God has promised to those who live by His Word (Joshua 1:8; Psalms 1:2; 1 Timothy 4:15; Luke 8:4-15).
