Daily Bread – March 9, 2024 (The Seventh Day – Genesis 2:1-3) Psalms 73:25 – Who do I have in Heaven but you, and I desire none on the Earth. “Who do I have in Heaven but You, Lord Jesus; and on Earth, I have no desires but for You,” should be the consecration of our hearts and the song we sing everyday. If we will be reminded of this truth, our interests will not be misplaced with things of this world. Encountering Christ Jesus should be the greatest encounter of our lives. This encounter should result in all that we are captivated by being the Heavenly. The translation of our lives from the darkness and evil of this world into the Kingdom of the dear Son should leave no desire in our hearts for things of this world. The glory of being seated together with Christ Jesus in Heaven becomes a living reality when we will walk in the Spirit as God has intended. God’s love for us in contrast to the hate and abuse of the darkness of this world should leave us with nothing to desire here. In the heavenly realm brought to us by the Holy Spirit there is pure delight. We may now walk with the Master in divine pleasure and prosperity that no earthly thing can give. In His presence, there is life forevermore. There we find fullness of joy which should captivate all of our affections (Colossians 3:1-4). We can live out a heavenly citizenship, a heavenly life, and experience Heaven on Earth if we are willing to place all of our delights in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:20; Hebrews 11:16, 13:14; Deuteronomy 11:21). All our days can be full of prosperity and our years with pleasure (Job 36:11). Don’t let darkness shroud you, and intimidation blind you from the truth. It is time to take your place among the saints in light (Colossians 1:12-13). With confidence and assurance, boldly decree how things are going to be. Rise up in relationship with God, and the authority as His sons and daughters, and live the life Christ has given – let God be your treasure! Blessings, Pastor Mark Spitsbergen
