Email from Abiding Place     Daily Bread – June 9, 2025 (The Second Day – Genesis 1:6-8) Revelation 4:5 – And from the throne came forth lightnings and voices and thunders, and seven torches of fire burned before the throne which are the Seven Spirits of God. The Seven Endowments of the Holy Spirit – The Foundation of the Fear of the LORD Jesus, the Messianic King, was incarnated into flesh by the Spirit and was equipped in His inner being by the Spirit to live the life that pleased the Father. We know Jesus grew and matured in these things and learned obedience, and learned to choose the good and refuse the evil (Hebrews 5:8; Isaiah 7:14-15). These attributes of the Holy Spirit gave Jesus the insight to overcome all the lies and deceptions of Satan and walk perfectly before the Lord. There was no resistance to the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus, so these divine endowments of the Holy Spirit were continually His guide and aid in walking before the Father as He did. One of the key features of the seven Spirits of the Holy Spirit is the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord was certainly something Jesus was born with and possessed before He was baptized in the Holy Spirit. The fear of the Lord is defined as the hating of iniquity and the love for righteousness which Jesus possessed from the very beginning of His earthly existence (Hebrews 1:9; Deuteronomy 6:2, 17:19; Psalms 34:11, 111:10; Proverbs 1:7, 8:13, 14:27).
